Riding the Continental Divide & Trekking into Yellowstone for a Father's Day to Remember!

 

 On Father's Day we headed into Yellowstone National Park to enjoy a beautiful day!  We entered through West Yellowstone at the West entrance and proceeded north at Madison Junction, exploring the Norris geyser basin before turning towards Fishing Bridge, where the photo above was taken.

 We then continued to the West Thumb geyser basin where thermal Hot Springs cultivate colorful bacteria called thermophiles and exophiles which create the magnificent colors. 

 We walked along the boardwalks where the pools flowed into Yellowstone Lake marveling at the intense colors and clear water bubbling up from deep within the earth.

 We are camped in Idaho and visited three states in one day by crossing into Montana and Wyoming.  We also rode our RZR's on the Continental Divide trail, where it's easy to see how Montana gets the name "The Big Sky State" with flowers blanketing the caldera grounds.

 Straddled on the state lines between Idaho and Montana, the skies are clear and the air is pure.  Meanwhile we're busy mapping out more trails and planning our visits into Yellowstone to venture into the wilds of our nation's first National Park!

A Peek at Island Park, Idaho

 

We have moved up to Red Rock RV Park in Island Park, Idaho!  We are about 20 miles from the west entrance to Yellowstone, surrounded by mountains and wildflowers.   We will be exploring the area and will post more pictures when we drive into town for a better internet connection.

Departing Views from the Paiute Trail- Marysvale, Utah

 

   Two weeks has quickly passed and our time on the Paiute Trail in Marysvale, Utah is drawing to a close.  The lure of wildflowers in bloom and fish to catch in the creek has drawn us in once again to the beauty of this place.

 As we prepare to continue our journey north, take a peek at the amazing scenery that greets you as you venture onto the trail.

 You will find well marked trails and snow capped mountains!

 You will discover places to pack your tent for a night camping in the woods.

 You will find wood to chop and campfires to build.

 You will find good times relaxing by the campfire.

 You will find nearby creeks rushing with water to douse the flames.

 You will find the Whistlestop trail head to walk or bike along the Sevier river.

 You will find meandering to be quite enjoyable in the temperate summer.

 You will turn the bend to see the famous Big Rock Candy mountain.

 You will stand near the workmanship of a silver mine from 1894.

 You will climb to Winkler Point to overlook the Fishlake National Forest.

 Your transportation will be vastly different than the mining days of 1894!

 You will spot a Horny Toad camoflaged in the rock.

 You will enjoy the time with family.

 You will find wildflowers in nearby crevices.

 You will relax in the Aspen meadows.

Marysvale, Utah is a glorious spot!
